Can You Take Paracetamol While Drinking Alcohol?
Like when I get a headache on a night out – I have done in the past but I’ve recently been told it shouldn’t ever be done. Is it bad?

Yes, because the paracetemol can react with the alcohol and it might be fatal or some critical damage may happen.

It is unwise to drink alcohol, whilst taking ANY medication

is there any need to take paracetamol while drinking?
no
Not a good idea because of the possibility of liver damage
No way
dont!!!! it can damage ur liver and lead to need for liver transplant! ask a dr what u can safely take instead.paracetamol and alcohol can be dangerous,u have been lucky so far!!!!!! ps-parecetomol is also known as acetominophen or tylenol.
What does it say on the bottle.
Hi,
Moderate to high amounts of paracetamol have caused liver damage in people with alcoholism. To prevent problems, people taking paracetamol should avoid alcohol.
Check out other potential problems with Paracetamol here …http://www.solgar.co.uk/healthnotes/heal…
its not recommended hunni
Alcohol will damage the liver and so will paracetemol.
The combination together increases the risk expedentially. 1+1=4 in this case.
Avoid paracetamol when you are drinking. Try something like advil “ibuprofen” that is filtered through the kidneys and less likely to damage your liver and more likely to decrease inflamation and actually give you some relief.
Q Is it dangerous to take paracetamol and drink alcohol?
A
No. Indeed paracetamol and alcohol are metabolised by the same oxidative enzymes and alcohol may even confer some protection to the liver in the event of a paracetamol overdose (19).
In certain circumstances, alcoholics may be at higher risk of liver injury in the event of a paracetamol overdose. However, paracetamol is used as an analgesic for patients in hospital liver units, including alcoholic patients (20).
doesnt really do anything to you…. just makes you tired
Hello, I do this regularly and have had no ill-effect from it! If you feel a headache coming on when you are drinking alchol drink a large gglass of water then alternate your drinks with water in between the headache should pass!
Good luck
