honestly, something like that, you shouldnt ask on here, people can lie and blab on.
speak to a doctor for the best advice.
good luck
Try talking to the hospital staff that is caring for him,
hope things get better
You can’t force the hospital to give a certain drug, but you might be able to transfer the care of your brother to another hospital or doctor who is willing to try other treatments or the treatment you desire. Of course, the doctors know best and they may have good reason for not using the drug you are talking about. At least find out why.
I’m not 100% positive, but working in the pharmacy industry I know that drugs have to be licensed for SPECIFIC uses before you can use them for THAT particular use i.e. Zolpidem would have to be specifically licensed for coma use and I don’t believe that it is. Otherwise, this would count as a ‘clinical trial’ which would mean the family has to sign mega disclaimer forms in the event of something going wrong, so that you don’t sue the Doctor. You would also have to find a Doctor who would be willing to take on such a trial, as any injury to the patient would be detrimental to the Doctor’s career, and no Doctor would want that. There was a television show about this recently but I can’t remember what channel it was on. I would do a google search and try and find the television show. It might give you the Doctor’s name. Then you could do a google search for the Doctor and contact him directly, asking him for help.
you can only do something the Dr is against if you have written proof from the brother to do so =sorry
