to add to what everyone else has already said, there’s some research that suggest the flu shot is only good for about 3 months worth of protection anyway. So if you get the shot in October, by February, you’re at risk again.
The people who make the vacines admit that they missed two strains of flu in this years vacine. So, everyone is getting the two they missed.
yes, you can even if you get the shot. There are no guarantees when you take the it. Rest, fluids and taking it easy are the best way to deal with it and please try to stay home so you don’t spread it. Hope you feel better if you do have it.
yup, because the flu shots only cover the flu strains that the vaccine manufactorers are told are going to be the most prevelant for the year…….there are many flu strains out there…..so yup, you can get the flu…
Yep…got a strain they didn’t count on……….
My two children and I got the flu shot yet all of us got sick on a recent trip. It can happen since the flu shot is not a complete protective isolator.
It is very possible to get the flu, even after getting the flu shot.
The flu shot is a combination of flu viruses (there are literally millions of types of flu) that are believed to be the most prevalent in the particular area in which you live.
Simply stated, the flu shot is comprised of what the scientists “guess” will be prevalent in your area.
Because it’s just a guess, it’s possible that the scientists “guessed” wrong, and a different type of flu is in your area.
