Poll : Yes Or No, Can Anyone Recommend A Sympathetic Doctor To My Needs?
I’ve just moved down from Scotland after living there 2 years for health reasons and to be near my family, having been born and bred in Manchester all my life.
For the past 10 years I’ve been proscribed Diazepam for health reasons and have been getting it on repeat proscription, I know the law has changed but with being 63yrs old my Doctor in Scotland was very sympathetic to my needs.
Just been to see a new doctor down here ,and he has decided without knowing me or my history to stop my diazepam with emmediate effect.
On hearing this news I was so shocked and distrort that I burst into uncontrollable tears as I cant imagine how I’m going to cope, then this doctor asked how I felt about the descion in a cold and clinical manner, with no compassion and I felt unprofessional,so through the tears I told him I’m so fraightened and suffer panic attacks and his response was see you in a fortnight but I’m taking you off your prescriptions not just Diazepam I felt and still do stunned and shocked.
Can anyone please recommend a Doctor in the M27 postcode who would be more sympethic to my situation regarding Diazepam

Don’t take pills, try this for a week and if you’re hungry eat. Eat all you want. You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!
Could I suggest you contacting Scotland for some literature regarding you’ve been on these for 10 years. Surely your new doctor can’t expect you to completely cut them. My gran used to have them and I’m pretty sure I could imagine her reaction if they were taken from her prescription. I wasn’t aware of a change in the law so I can’t really comment much more than that.
I moved from near Manchester to Essex about five years ago. My girlfriend (now wife) was expecting and my mum had a bad time up north (both parents died and marriage breakdown in three years) so I brought her down here with me. She had her medical records sent down here so the doctor was clearer on her prescription background. I’m sure you could do the same.
I hope you get things sorted out soon. After seeing my gran, I can imagine the fear of losing the medication must be almost as bad as living without the medication.
Lastly, try posting this in medicine tomorrow. I say tomorrow cause it’s after midnight and you might not get a good response this late.
Best of luck.
