I know “short term” but just how short is short term?
Days? Weeks? Or months?

My doctor recommended I don’t need it anymore a couple months ago (when I was taking 40mg/day) so since then I’ve weaned down and took my last one last Friday. It’ll be one week this coming Friday in a couple days, will the Prozac be completely out of my body by then?

Yes,I was perscribed Meridia.Iv’e decided to try it because of stubborn 45lbs.I have to lose because of joint pain.Just how long will it take for it to take effect?And how much does it curb your appietite?Thanks for your reply!

I have been taking Prozac for about a month. It created some horrible side-effects (racing heart, restlessness, racing thoughts, shakiness, diarrhea). I’ve taken Prozac, years ago, with no problems. For some reason, getting back on it did not work well with me again. I took 20mg or Prozac for about a month and stopped cold turkey, per my doctor’s instructions. How long until it leaves my system?
