I’ve been prescribed Prozac (20mg) for mild depression (even though I am usually able to control it!) and have only been taking it for 4 days but for the last two I have felt really depressed (worse than normal). Is that supposed to happen with Prozac before it starts working and if it is, how long does it take to go away, or should I just ask my doctor to come off it?

I’ve been feeling really depressed for the past couple of months and it’s really effecting my school work and my social life. Is it possible to buy Prozac at a grocery store? Or am I going to have to get it from my doctor?

Out of curiosity, how many 10 mg Prozac pills would it take (at one time) to kill yourself?

I have been taking Prozac for about a month. It created some horrible side-effects (racing heart, restlessness, racing thoughts, shakiness, diarrhea). I’ve taken Prozac, years ago, with no problems. For some reason, getting back on it did not work well with me again. I took 20mg or Prozac for about a month and stopped cold turkey, per my doctor’s instructions. How long until it leaves my system?
