I take 7.5 mg of Imovane every night. Generic it is Zopiclone, they are small and blue and leave quite the metallic aftertaste in the morning. I have taken them nightly for the last 3 years. Is there ANY way I can stop taking them??? I have tried other drugs but they are ineffective. I don’t abuse these pills and I use them as prescribed…but I REEEEALLY want to break my dependency to them…does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you become addicted to prescription hypnotics and how? I take something called imovane. After the pills run out and I stop taking them will the insomnia return?

I’m starting something called imovane 7.5mg tonight? Also is that a large dose? Is it alright to drink alcohol with them?

Which benzodiazepine drug would be most effective as a sleeping tablet, Chlordiazepoxide or Diazepam? Explain.
