Valium(diazepam)?
yesterday i ate three of the blue valiums(diazepam) and the perscription is not in my name, and i have to drug test for a job tomorrow , do they screen for valium and if so will it show?

Breaking them open is probably not a good idea if they’re capsules with a powder inside.
If you’re taking them with liquid, throw your head backwards as you’re swallowing. This will open up your throat instead of constricting it – usually helps me bring down the large clunkers they sometimes give you as antibiotics.
No they do not screen for it. It is illegal to take a medication that is not prescribed to you but valium itsself is not an illegal drug.
As a general rule, NO, benzo’s (a class of med’s you know as xanax, valium, ativan, etc..) will not be tested for in standard DIP-Stick drug sceen, simply because the med is so widely prescribed, usually a dip test will test for THC, cocaine, Methamphetamine, amphetamine, (yes the two are different), and the opiate class (of which methadone will not show either, but anything between codiene and herion will). Amphetamine on these test can be replaced sometimes by checking for “PCP” but because it’s use has drasticly dropped since the early 70′s it’s usually not included. So once again NO, but just for your info, if your only taking Xanax, valuim type drugs every-now-and-then, well they can stay in your system generally anywhere from 2 to 7 days, Just drink a lot of water and don’t give them your morning piss, don’t spend money on bull^$#^% cleanzing products…Water works fine….Just remember drink as much as you can hold and go often… Good luck…but just quit taking the damn things, they ain’t that much fun, for the trouble they could bring you……..Lance, USMC
I am a paramedic-we carry this drug on our ambo. Very familiar w/ it. Y did u take it? it is used as basically a muscle relaxer- it controlls seizures. they do not test 4 vallium itself- but they do test for narcotics and that is exactly what u took! good luck- ul need it!

Some drug tests screen for these drugs, most do not in a simple urine test. If it is a test from a hair sample it will show up. The tester has no way of knowing if the prescription was yours or not I would just tell it. Next time I would also stay clear of others drugs almost everywhere drug tests these days.
Valium reportedly can produce erroneous indications of PCP (Phencyclidine), and other cold remedies can apparently produce false reports of methamphetamine usage.
Yes and Yes. The only way for a medication to be excused or excluded on a Drug screening is if you have a prescription in your name. Sorry but you will fail it. That type of medication will stay in your system for a while…
