  1. Mine are 5 mg and I would only use one to get a few more hours (about 4h). If I’d take 2 (= 10mg), it would not make a lot of difference. 20mg would be too much and the quality of your sleep is worse if you’re on more medicine, you just pass out with no dreams and you don’t feel rested when you wake up.
    After a few nights of sleeping only 3 or 4 hours or not at all, you’ll get your solid night sleep, naturally.

  2. This is the generic form of Ambien. Doses go from 5 to 10 mg. I would think it a bad idea to double up. More isn’t always merrier when it comes to Rx sleep aides.

  3. Maybe, maybe not. It might leave you feeling really cruddy in the morning.
    I’ve been prescribed 25mg zolpiderm before, so I know it’s not an excessive dosage.
